Today, you might think that achieving new year resolutions is “hundred-to-one” or futile. The possibilities might be overwhelming to achieve as a result of poor planning, unhealthy reflection and having draining thoughts about solving next year’s challenges. The thing is, learning from past experiences and focusing on key goals for the upcoming year will enable you to be fully selective in executing substantive plans. I never felt setting goals involved gingerly noting down what I needed to accomplish. I figured life happens, and swings in momentum because goals can be quite overly ambitious to accomplish at a certain moment in time.
Significantly, the things you want will likely happen at the right time. Many resolutions were possibly broken in days, weeks or hours for just no reason at all. Questions that you consistently ask yourself include, why me? Did I do something wrong? Did I spill the beans to pals and jinx it?......Is this you? One thing to keep in mind is that the taste of victory awaits you!
Here are creative ways to make this new year more successful. In Emily Dickinson’s voice “Success is counted sweetest by those who ne’er succeed.” So, those bits of failures you have experienced might just be a huge step to something grandiose.
Set clear resolutions and routines that simplify your goals. People often solely focus on improving their lifestyle without considering why it is important to do so. Self-improvement is something to acknowledge, likewise creating a margin for one or two of your most important goals to achieve would be realizable. Investing so much time on too many goals might not be achievable at once. Things like “wanting to lose weight”, “wanting to get the man of your dreams” before next week (which could be possible....), or “doing a fan duet with Billie Eilish” before next year”. All this might be quite catchy and mind-blogging, and very much possible, but prioritizing the most important target will lead you to achieving the next thing to in a short time.
Set a reasonable time-frame. Rather than have a counterintuitive mindset about your intentions, plan your actions in a sleek diary or calendar. Do you often brush off the idea of accordingly laying out your weekly or monthly intentions? You might choose to plead the fifth here, but a good measure of success is to strategically broaden your intentions to make realistic gains throughout the year. Maybe “micro-resolutions” might work. According to a CNN blog post, making year-long commitments might not be achievable, possibly making monthly “micro-resolutions” might just work instead. Micro-resolutions include dedicating time to learning new skills or experiencing new scenes in 30 days. Separating 10 habits you would like to cut back on and thinking about 10 habits you intend on adding to your life each month would be a good start to drafting a strategic new year’s resolution plan.
Self-care works like a charm. Integrate healthy practices to nurture your goals. Invest in your mental well-being through counseling and mindfulness exercises and workshops to increase your self-awareness. Don’t doubt the power of fitness and a healthy diet as it will enable you begin the year off strong. Attend health coaching workshops that inspire your journey and leave you with rewarding thoughts. Receiving support from counselors should never be underestimated. Surround yourself with trustworthy people who can enlighten you especially when you find your resolution plan is facing difficulty.

Be in charge and embrace “the never give up strategy.” Having a strong grip of control over your life is instrumental to sticking with your plans. Doubts will come and the “Debbie-Downers” will reveal their negative feelings about your journey. However, ruminating on why you started this journey in the first place will enable you to take responsibility for your future.
Besides getting flooded with many “new year” messages, be sure to read these tips and start off the new year shining bright than a diamond! If you failed to achieve your goals in the past, try again, be consistent and improve your best performance daily while getting reliable feedback from everyone.
