What is Falling Is A Gift all about?

*Think about the moment when Thomas Edison said, “I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." or when Mel Robbins says, "Your feelings don’t matter. The only thing that matters is what you DO," what comes to mind is aye- Falling is really a Gift.

I think because failure is so public, we don’t like to be seen as losers or rather we don't want our actions to be discredited so loud. My published book , something to mull better than wine, is dedicated to people of all ages trying to figure out life in this microcosm. My hope is that people will osmose and draw inspiration and tenacity from the words of this spoken word book. This book aims to leave its audience with an unquenchable thirst for spoken word inspirational tea. I want the readers to recognize that they are never alone in this cold world and that, together, we can navigate its gruesome climate. This is a discourse about inspiration and spiritual growth.

This spoken word book starts with a definite flow and rhythm, drawing from different styles of poetry, quotes and spoken word delivery. One cannot repudiate the challenges people face in today’s world, from figuring out who they are and struggling to identify their goals and career prospects, to dealing with body-shaming, substance and drug abuse, family problems, bad relationships, depression, and life overall. Life is not everlastingly rosy. There will be wins and fails and they all meet us at the “crossroads.” Life meets us at the crossroads, waiting to pull us back or push us forward. Either way, we need to learn how to figure things out. Aside from, coming from a research educational background, I’ve addressed a wide variety of issues that affect the broader community, including young and older people. My research background strengthened my interest in assembling an inspirational poetry book that would uplift and empower people, as well as present prose-styled poems on life’s trajectory, body image, friendships, spirituality and self-confidence.

Some people say, “Well, just go with what life throws at you. You can figure it out on your own.” I deviate from this school of thought. As I reflect on my personal experience, and the experiences of friends and family and the broader community, I hope I help you identify your life purpose and TAG yourself as “Thinking Positive,” “Accepting Yourself,” and “Getting Back Up On Top”.
